I love this photo of
our family. We all smiled as if we just
got away with murder. Things went terribly
wrong a few months later. Jerry and I
both lost our fathers in 1998. I lost
various friends to death or employment
changes over the next several years.
In the spring of '99 my
mom had a stroke and six months later
I had a breakdown. Seven months after
that Jerry had open heart surgery and
his body never was the same. All three
of us mended together as God gathered
us in His arms.
I have a BA cum laude
from Ashland University and have published
articles in numerous semi-obscure magazines.
I have a Masters in character development
compliments of the restaurant industry.
Widowhood has forced me
into the world of self-publishing. I write
to share what I've learned in the hope
of helping others. A secondary goal is
to keep a roof over our heads and put
my darling daughter through college.
